In Japan, Valentine’s Day isn’t a particularly romantic day – this is the day for ladies to give dark chocolates and presents to all their male colleagues (in addition to their partners), with the sentiment being returned on March 14th, White Day, the day when men must give white chocolate and gifts to all the ladies in the office!

As a former expat living in Japan, I shall do my bit Japanese-style with my poem, “This Is The Soppiest I Can Get“. Out of all my poems, this is the only romantic one I’ve ever written – enjoy!

Happy Valentine’s Day!
