wpid-2015-02-14-12.38.24.jpg.jpegToday is the day for all things romantic. For me, that means a break from the usual writing day to indulge in lots of chocolates…see the photo above for proof! But when love is in the air, I’m all about sharing. So here’s a trip down memory lane with a couple of romantic poems from Joseph Robert and I. First to share is my poet hubby, Joseph Robert’s poem, Mate, published in Black Mirror Magazine in Febrary 2014. This one is a deviously delicious treat with a centre sweeter than a passion fruit truffle; yum! Next up is my poem, This is the soppiest I can get, which appeared in The Sound of Poetry Review in March 2013. It’s tangy with a hint of lemon zing and mellowed in creamy white chocolate. Mmm…

Happy Valentine’s day!

*Leilanie,* *Apologies for not responding in so long . . . life has its cyclones . . . read both your poems and your husbands . . . so much to say about each; both of you have such refined voices distinctly. And I’m with you on Psyche!* *So here’s my soppiest . . . a day late:*

me again . . . MG got ya by the throat? I get it . . . doin’ my own MS and Cervical Dystonia and . . . . blah blah blah. Every morning I do 12 alternate-nostril breathings, and do about 6 before I go to bed. It greatly increases the blood flow to the brain, and gets chi flowing blissfully. See B.K.S. Iyengar’s *Light on Pranayama* (the science of breathing). I BuILD my immune system with a teaspoon of Vit. C powder and 2 tsps of organic lemon juice with warm water first thing in the morning . . . kills microbes, cuts mucous, etc. I make my own capsules of tumeric, a better anti-inflammatory than Advil without the toxins (brain inflammation addressed). Other stuff too that I’ve been forced to create as I withdraw from Western medicine’s 20 years of synthetic chemicals and failed hip implements (4 hip surgeries, 2007-2011). I’ve been damaged to the point of being chronically ill. So, a good lesson. Gotta put myself in good hands: my own peace, prayers for healing, Tashi DeleK! 3. Liked your poem about fire, Mickey, especially the imagery of the skeleton out in the charred field and the poet wrapped in the ribcage ‘cleaned’ of life, snug against the spine 🙂 Thanks for sharing
