On Saturday 4 July I read from my new poetry collection, A Model Archaeologist (available from my publisher Eyewear Publishing and from my online store Meandi Books) at the second of my summer promotional events this year. Check out my photos from the night here on my Google+ album.

Setting up

I was lucky to have great weather, which made for fun readings in the beer garden. All in all I did 4 rounds of readings to an audience of 20 friends and a further 20+ people in the pub, alongside fellow poet Mark Kamara. I sold 15 copies and managed not to fluff my lines,

despite drinking gin and tonics throughout the evening! By the end of the night, I managed to lose my voice…a sign of a job well done!

Third round of readings later in the night.
